Water tank solution for Water Scarcity
Source: herald.co.zw
There are certain places in the world where
rainfall is scanty and so, scarcity of water is quite severe in these places.
This is a natural phenomenon that people in those places face and their
lifestyles and rapidly increasing population affect water scarcity problem. Since
this problem lasts for decades, people have realized the importance of storing
rain water. Thus, they are starting to use rainwater tanks at homes to collect
water. Now, ever since people started to use varying size of their own water
tanks, they have brought up the idea of storing thousands of liters of waters in
huge water storage for the whole town. One of the investor for the water tank
industry is Mr. Andrew Makahamadze.
Luckily, people are aware of the importance
of installing water tanks; especially in Australia (water scarcity rate is very
severe). However, because of the climate where rainfall is below the normal
level in this place, rainwater is not the best source that benefits
immediately. Thus, storing rain water as much as possible is a great way to
prepare for the future. It is necessary to become environmentally-conscious so
that we can keep recycling and reusing water so that it does not go waste.
There are various sizes of water tanks that individual household can have;
round tanks, slim line water tanks, underground tanks, and above-the-ground
tanks.
Interstingly, Mr. Makahamadze realized that
there were not a lot of local manufacturers of water tanks, so he decided to
enter the business for building water tank. His company is now producing 5000
litre models for each household can have. For a small family, 5000 litres can
last a month or more depending on usage and this is the most popular model that
people choose. It also holds enough weight to allow proper flow of water.
Despite the fact that the water tank industry is growing, they still need help
from banks. They need to engage SMEs and hear challenges that they are facing
so that they can fix the problem of hiring right people to work.
