Empowering Immigrant Youth: Strategies for Career Development Success

There is no doubt that immigration is a common phenomenon in todays world. Many young kids and adults come ready to be ambitious and have dreams, while looking for any better opportunity for themselves and their families. One of the biggest obstacles is finding the right job for them that will be the right fit in utilizing their skills and helping them reach their full potential. Our discussion will be about how important it is to help the youth find a path towards careers and what kind of plans or strategies could be best used to encourage them to meet their own career and life goals. 

The youth have several perspectives and many experiences starting from a young age. It is very important to recognize any type of skill they have because of its possible use for the future. Even paying attention to their backgrounds could become helpful. This will help to discover their strengths and build up their potential that will benefit them in the future as well as those they encounter. 

Children of immigrants are sure to have many developed skills and talents that could lead them to finding good education and quality training. Having access to programs that help with language, communication, educational pathways, and vocational training could be a benefiting factor for them as well. Getting help from the community, organizations, and educational institutes will help the youth to find opportunities and connections that could play a big role in their careers or start of. 

Mentorships and Internships can also be very helpful for kids to have some guidance in all of this. These will help with the transition from school to work. These kinds of programs will be helpful with giving immigrants experience and exposure, while also building a network around them. This will also help build them a navigation through challenges in the work place. Internships can be offered through employers and made to create an inclusive space that values all of the employees while being able to embrace diversity. 

Skills can be developed anywhere and at any time. Young immigrants possess experience and qualities from their home countries. These should be recognized and valid in order to have those skills utilized. Credential evaluation can help with these instances. This way young immigrants can find their way into the job market with less difficulty and find a job that they are comfortable with or have experience for. 

Empowering these young immigrants to find their place in a career will help more than just them but society as well. Understanding and discovering their potential while also providing access to resources can help to create a great support system and environment. As a whole, we can build communities that are diverse, inclusive, and encourage the talents of all youth immigrants. Bringing them to a better and brighter future.

  As homelessness starts to rise in many states, many actions have started to take place, one of them being hostile architecture.   Hostile architecture is an architectural design intended to deter certain activities and restrict people from using that public space.  On The west Coast homelessness is a serious problem. When considering the homeless crises, Los Angeles is one of the places that comes to mind.
