All around the United States, homelessness rises and continues plans to help them find food and shelter happen every day. However one thing we have forgotten in this is community. Bringing together people from all sorts of backgrounds to move towards a single goal. This is what Street Soccer USA's foundation is all about. They work together to find homeless youth and adults and encourage them to play sports and be active both physically and in community. It is a non-profit charity that allows multiple people to fly to California to compete in the Homeless World Cup. This can bring a sense of involvement and achievement to some who may have never felt that.
Their mission is "To use football to support and inspire people who are homeless to change their own lives; and to change perceptions and attitudes towards people who are experiencing homelessness". Many of use think that homeless individuals don't deserve certain things to maybe their life choices. Yet most homeless individuals grew up in homeless situations that were out of their control. Sports is something that can bring anybody together, and through this foundation it has become possible. A survey was done from those involved with the foundation and the results are below.

Street Soccer USA teams up with over 70 different foundations and has connections in many worldwide countries. While the tournament is the main pull for this foundation, opportunities still come for any and all homeless individuals. They offer previous players to come back multiple years and also train to become referees if desired. This allows the relationships to continue long after individuals join. This program is continuing to serve the community and the world, and if you would like to donate and view their mission, links will be provided down below.
